Welcome to NorthEastEngland.org
To help beat the Credit Crunch we have came up with a few helpful tips for everyone to have a blast at, yes some may seem a bit patronising but bear with us.
- Turn down the Thermostat by 1 degree, experts say this could save you around 10% on your yearly heating bill.
- Only fill the kettle with enough water for what you are to use, it might not seem like much but over a year it can save you a bit of money.
- A no brainer but remember to turn off appliances that you are not using, leaving your Computer on Standby wastes loads of energy.
- Check the online comparison sites for cheaper quotes on your providers, changing from 1 supplier to another can save quite a bit.
- Buy your fresh items from a market and not a supermarket, the majority of market items are far fresher than the supermarkets and you can always ask for cooking advice.
- Our partner site North East Forum has a category setup for free voucher codes to be used on major websites, some of them are for £5 off on your eBay & Paypal purchases. Please note that the Forum give away these codes for free, they recieve no payment or percentage for doing this.
- Use this site to get eBooks totally free, its ran by Microsoft and you can get some excellent books on this.
- Lighten the load of your car, the more items the more resistence but if its a wet or icy day then weight in your boot can help stabilise your car.
- Tyre pressure also uses more fuel because its harder to drive, so the more pumped up the tyres the better for your pocket.
